Why you should aim to be a "finch" and not a "stifler"
Being a fan of the American pie movie series I decided to make this post.And i know what you guys might think ,"what the hell, really?" And In regards to that I noticed it is uncommon for myself but i decided this post while being entertaining, can have its relevancy.
And you will see what I am talking about in a minute.I am positive you have seen or at the very least heard of the American pie trilogy series.
Well the whole idea revolving those movies is the daunting task of losing your virginity before/after the prom.Spending great time with your friends and making some memories as highschool comes to an end.The friendship,relationships,parties that ensue with these films are also good. And all those fun and comedic laughs you can have when watching such movies.The typical rated R comedies with dash of adolescent angst and crazy comedic characters.And as delighted as I am at certain characters that make you burst laughing.I noticed 2 characters/personality that are applicable in the real world.Considering how there are guys with these personality traits.
One being the character Paul "Finch" and his mysterious somewhat bold ways of communication with girls( although sometimes creepy ). And an almost opposite side of the spectrum character Steve "stifler" although hilarious also a loudmouth(always thwarting finch from his conquest to bang stiflers mom was just utterly hilarious).And these two in the movies hate each other's guts, stifler being," finch you sh*tbreak and pranking each other especially in the first film( with the school laxative incident). And then finch getting back at him by smashing his mom was a clever way the writers went about it.Anyway my whole take on this is why you should aim to be a finch versus being a stifler.
I know it sounds goofy when you think about it or even the fact that I'm writing about such a unique article applying to ideals, lifestyle, sex life etc.But I could not help to compare these two characters and all their crazy scenarios, and endeavors.
So why shouldn't i aim to be a stifler? He's a swell dude after all
I know right, although he does have somewhat good game and he doesn't care what anybody thinks about him. Athletic fella and lives by the motto "kiss my ass and f*ck you".Stifler is a guy that is over excited and can't wait to screw sh$t up, big time.Lets take a look at stiff meisters pros vs cons.
Pros
- Popular amongst peers(although his reputation might not be the best).
- Says what he wants, and does what he wants.
Cons
- Hosts parties especially in the first film and beginning of second one.( The thing with this is you do not want to host parties ever there is trouble that soon follows)
- Talks before he thinks about what he is gonna say.
He is also quite obnoxious, and most people avoid him overall.He is ready to give friends sex advice at a seconds notice.For example," when a girl tells you how many guys she has slept with,multiply it by three and that is the real number".

Why should i strive to be more like finch
Although far ahead of his years,Finch lives by being sophisticated and urbane.He does have some weaknesses and acts somewhat creepy around girls at times.However he is infatuated with his all time crush Stifler's mom(I am not saying to be like him as far as this goes,unless your into older women).
Pros vs cons for finch
Pros
- Acts Mature and sophisticated
- Some of his interests are philosophy,literature, and art which can define a knowledgeable individual.
- Likes to meditate and enjoys exploring tantric sex, as a more elaborate way to transcend spiritual and sexual planes.
- Cons
- Cannot stand up for himself in a fight
- Does not fit in with his friends, they seem him as either being intimidating or totally weird.
What you should get out of this.
Although finch and stifler have their own personalities that defines their characters.The craziness that happens during the movies and their dating lives.We all should carefully analyze their pros and see if what they do can help an area in your life.Whether it being a goal or a habit,a quote or a lifestyle.Aside from the jokes and laughter as a man of integrity I believe in leading by example.And that is a good technique if you want to develop certain skills or know how successful people made it.Just follow after there example, even if it is to develop an understanding as to how they made it, or what habits they followed.
